Since The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has announced that the second stage of relaxation in social distancing measures will be implemented with effect from 19 May, the House of Bishops has decided that from the same day onward, a worship service may be attended by up to 85% of the number of congregants that a church can normally accommodate. Participants will be permitted to sit in a group of no more than eight persons together. Other COVID-related infection prevention measures including “Vaccine Pass” shall remain in force.

Besides, if there is a legitimate reason, churches will be allowed to resume using liturgical books and hymnals during a worship service according to the guidelines provided by the Province.
